Series UP
Chemically resistant stainless steel centrifugal pump in close-coupled design, with single-acting mechanical seal
The UP series is the counterpart to the U series for applications where the use of a plastic pump is not possible, e.g. due to increased temperature requirements up to 150 °C. It is equipped with a single-acting mechanical seal lubricated and cooled by the process fluid. Seal faces and elastomers are available in various materials; the spring is made of Hastelloy® C4.
Solids up to 3 mm particle size and 10 vol.% can be conveyed. The viscosity can be up to 150 mPas; depending on the version, the maximum fluid temperature is 150 °C. All sizes are also available in ATEX-certified versions under the designation UP-EX for use in ATEX zones 1 and 2.

Performance Overview
Chemically resistant stainless steel centrifugal pump in close-coupled design, with single-acting mechanical seal
Features
- Robust and durable construction made from thick-walled, solid stainless steel components
- Also suitable for fluids with a low solids content due to spring-loaded mechanical seal
- Low-maintenance operation due to high-quality seal face materials
- All wetted parts made from high-grade, corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti)
- Equipped as standard with threaded connections according to ISO 228-1; from size 130 also optionally available with flange connections
- Versatile, compact and quiet
- Approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX Zone 1)
- Corrosion-resistant coating in RAL1017, saffron yellow
Applications
Pumping of salt water, weak acids and lyes or other corrosive fluids. Pumping of water- or oil-based emulsions at temperatures up to 150 °C. Use in harsh environments and in applications requiring a particularly robust pump.
For example in the following applications:
- Pumping of cooling fluids and heat transfer oils in cooling or temperature control units
- Electroplating and surface coating
- Wastewater and fresh water treatment
- Paper industry
- Laboratory and medical technology
- Environmental technology, exhaust gas cleaning and gas scrubbers
